2003 CAIC Business Meeting

(Vice Chair), and Charlie Brummer (Secretary).
The Board agreed to eliminate the publication and mailing to members the “hard” copy of the CAIC Variety Tests
Report coordinated by John Caddel. In substitution, the Board suggested that all public yield data be sent to the Plant Management Network (on-line journal –
www.plantmanagementnetwork.org ). Charlie Brummer will be sending out a letter to public variety testing personnel regarding this subject.
The Board agreed to meet at the next NAAIC (Quebec City) in 2004 to discuss the decision to hold another virtual meeting (phone conference) in 2005, similar to this year’s meeting in July.
Dan Undersander received much praise and positive feedback for hosting this meeting. Any critique or format change for the 2005 CAIC meeting (virtual or “live”) will be covered at the 2004 NAAIC.
The Board accepted the nomination of Dave Miller (Pioneer) as incoming CAIC Secretary. Dave has accepted the nomination.
